The cause of a natural fire in the Karsiyaka area near the Turkish city of Izmir on the Aegean coast was a picnic fire lit by three local residents, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture said.
16 houses have already burned down. According to local media, 87 houses were evacuated due to the risk of fire, and 78 people were injured.
