Support for Donald Trump is plummeting. Here are the reasons for this situation

A study by the YouGov institute, presented by the British weekly “Economist”, shows that 57 percent US citizens do not accept the actions of President Donald Trump. Only 36 percent respondents express support for Trump, and seven percent remains undecided.
Net support is currently minus 20 percentage points. and is eight points lower than in the same period during the first term.
Donald Trump, the war with Iran and rising prices
The ratings probably fell because of the war with Iran, which only 28 percent accept. Americans. 59 percent respondents do not accept the conflict that started on February 28. The weekly notes that the war contributed to an increase in oil prices, which affects higher production and transport costs and, consequently, the prices of goods in stores.
An AP-NORC survey shows that 6 in 10 citizens believe that the US military operation against Iran has gone too far. Within the Republican electorate itself, opinions are divided – about half say the actions are appropriate, one fifth say they should have gone further, and about 25 percent say expresses opposition to the scale of the operation.
The president's supporters largely continue to support his decisions. White men remain the most favorable group. In turn, young voters and representatives of ethnic minorities express the greatest dissatisfaction with the actions of the head of state. Trump also cannot count on the acceptance of the most educated Americans. Voters of retirement age, traditionally a strong Republican base, are moderately inclined towards the president this time.
Disturbing signals also concern states that voted for Trump in the 2024 elections – growing dissatisfaction is also visible there. This situation may pose a challenge for Republicans before the November congressional midterm elections.
