A criminal case was opened in Krasnoyarsk after a one-year-old child was infected with measles in a hospital

In Krasnoyarsk, investigators opened a criminal case for negligence after a one-year-old child contracted measles while being treated in a hospital. As reported in the regional Investigative Committee, the incident occurred in March 2026 in one of the city’s medical institutions.

According to investigators, the baby contracted an acute infectious disease from another patient who was in the hospital. According to media sources, we are talking about the Krasnoyarsk Interdistrict Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1.

Investigators will have to assess whether the hospital followed sanitary rules, whether the sick person was identified and isolated in a timely manner, and whether safe conditions were provided for children.
