Among the Ukrainian experts was the husband of the Ukrainian presenter Masha Efrosinina, a former businessman, and now a Ukrainian defender Timur Khromaev. Zelensky greeted him with a handshake.
“Ukrainians have been working here for several weeks to help protect lives. We met with representatives of this team of ours and discussed the first results and main conclusions from their work in the Emirates and some proposals. Our common goal with our partners is more security. Ukrainians, unfortunately, remember well what it was like when Russia’s full-scale aggression against our country began. Much depended on quick and effective defense decisions. Today Ukraine not only needs help, but is also ready to support those who support us,” – Zelensky wrote.
He noted that Ukrainian experts held meetings with representatives of the UAE Security and Defense Forces and are working to strengthen protection against air threats.
“I thanked the guys for their service and for the respect that is felt for Ukraine in the region. Our people deserve this respect and are truly one of those who can restore security. Glory to Ukraine!” – Zelensky emphasized.
Context
In the summer of 2022, Khromaev volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The presenter noted that this allowed her husband to survive the loss of his business.
In September 2023, Efrosinina in an interview “RBC-Ukraine” said that her husband serves in the 112th brigade of the Kyiv TrO, which protects Ukraine from Russian occupiers in the front-line zone.
