“9th District” is a Russian rock band, which was organized by Alexei Nikitin in 1991 on the basis of the Aerospace Academy in Krasnoyarsk. All group members were students at the academy and lived in the same dormitory. The first album, entitled “Don’t Forget,” was recorded the same year at Vyacheslav Medyanik’s studio in Krasnoyarsk. Since 1992, active touring began. Subsequently, 6 more albums were released (“I’ll be there,” “New and Best,” “New and Best −1,” “Return,” “Sagittarius,” “Vulcan”).

Alexander is a graduate of the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts in the trumpet class of Professor Peter Kazimir, a laureate of international competitions, and is actively involved in concert activities. He achieved recognized success not only in the regional, but also in the world music arena: he performed as a soloist in the famous “Golden Hall” of the Vienna Philharmonic, and participates in various jazz collaborations. Also this evening, Krasnoyarsk musicians Genrikh Lisovsky (piano) and Alexander Zubrev (bass guitar, double bass) will perform on the same stage with the Krasnoyarsk Brass Band.
