What the press from Kosovo writes, after the failure with Romania U21

“The Kosovo U21 national team failed to get a single point at home against Romania U21 in the European U21 Championship qualifiers. The youngsters had a solid performance but were beaten 0-1.

When no one expected it, Vermesan received a decisive pass from Trică and took advantage of the goalkeeper's exit to bring the victory (67'). Kosovo then tried to come back and equalize, but were unable to break through the visitors' defense. It should be noted that players of the Kosovo national team were also present in the stadium to support the U21 team.

Unfortunately, Kosovo can be said to have ended their hopes of a place at the European Championship, dropping to fourth place with eight points, while Romania climbed to third place with 10 points“, wrote the Kosovars from telegrafi.com.

For Romania U21, the duel with San Marino follows on March 31. Then, the “tricolors” will only play again in the fall. On September 25th is the away match with Cyprus, and on September 30th the final for 2nd place will be played against Finland in Romania. The duel with Spain U21 will take place on October 6, in the last stage of the preliminaries
