A resident of Ravenna, Italy, went to court against her 31-year-old son, demanding that he leave the house. She argued during the hearing that her son does not clean and, although he has a job, does not pay the bills. The court agreed with her and ordered the man to leave his mother's house.

According to the Italian press, the woman, when suing her son in 2024, declared that the situation was unbearable for her. Her adult son did not help her at all and, although he had a permanent job, he did not contribute to household expenses. As she pointed out to the court, he did not follow the basic rules of living together, and he had reached the age when he should be completely independent.
Newspapers noted that another peculiar element had been added to this already complicated legal case. During the trial, the 31-year-old resigned from his job, probably in the hope that he would win in court because he would again be dependent on his mother.
However, his gesture did not change the judge's mind, which stated that he had left his job without taking effective steps to find another one.
Therefore, the court agreed to the desperate woman's application and ruled on ending the obligation to support her son, while ordering the man to leave his mother's house by June 30. He must also pay EUR 3,000 in court costs.
The court ordered the man to find a new job and a new home.
