The Romanian U19 national team drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland U19, in the second match of the Elite Tournament, a result that definitively compromises the chances of qualifying for the U19 European Championship.

Held in Clinceni, the game was a decisive one for Adrian Dulcea's students, who needed victory after the failure in the first stage.

The best chance of the first half came in the 42nd minute: Petculescu spectacularly restarted the volley after a corner, but the Northern Irish goalkeeper made an excellent save.

Stoian, close to being decisive!

In the second half, Romania was close to scoring again. In the 50th minute, Stoian hit the crossbar with his head.

Northern Ireland responded dangerously in the 64th minute, when they benefited from a triple opportunity, but Romania's defense resisted.

The ending was animated. In the 80th minute, Necșulescu missed a huge opportunity from 7 meters, and three minutes later, Stoian was blocked by an excellent intervention from goalkeeper Gracey, after a shot from outside the box.
