New maximum fuel prices on Tuesday at the earliest. There is one reason

A moment later, the Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański, said in a short entry on the X platform that “from Tuesday we will see lower prices at gas stations.”
Miłosz Motyka emphasized that the announcement regarding maximum fuel prices will be published on Monday at the earliest. This means that price changes at gas stations will be possible from Tuesday at the earliest. Motyka pointed out that the date of implementation of the new rates is influenced not only by administrative and legislative issues, but also by technical issues, such as updating sales systems.

According to the new regulations, the Ministry of Energy will publish maximum fuel prices every day. Stations will be able to offer fuel cheaper than the established maximum price, but exceeding it will result in sanctions.
Minister Motyka explained that the duration of maximum fuel prices will be specified in a regulation issued by the Ministry of Finance.
According to Reflex office forecasts, in the week from March 30 to April 3, the average price of unleaded 95 petrol may drop by PLN 1.18 per liter and diesel oil by PLN 1.30 per liter.

The new regulations introduce a mechanism for calculating the maximum price based on the average wholesale price of fuels on the domestic market, plus excise duty, fuel fee, sales margin of PLN 0.30 per liter and VAT. Key market players will be obliged to submit data to the Ministry of Energy on a daily basis, which will allow for ongoing updates of rates.
The maximum price will be announced in the form of an announcement by the Minister of Energy and will come into force on the day following its publication. If it is announced before holidays or holidays, the rate will be valid until the next business day.
At the same time, the amendment to the Excise Duty Act allows for a temporary reduction in excise duty rates on fuels pursuant to a regulation until June 30. This applies to diesel oil and petrol.
