A photo of a UAZ car that fell through the ice along with a group of Chinese tourists and a local driver appeared online. The picture was published by diver and underwater photographer Dmitry Rogovoy, reports IrkutskMedia news agency.
The photo shows that the car is standing at the bottom of the lake on wheels, and did not receive any serious damage. The side windows are missing, the windshield remains intact.
Let us remind you that the tragedy occurred on February 20. The driver of the “loaf” was transporting foreign tourists and fell into a crevasse. The car went under the ice along with the people. Only one 31-year-old man managed to escape. Seven tourists, including a child, and the driver died.
Investigators found that the resident of Khuzhir, who was driving, was the organizer of illegal transportation of tourists and received the main income from them. Criminal cases have been initiated, including under the article of negligence.
