In Krasnoyarsk, specialists have intensified work to eliminate potholes on the roads on behalf of Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin. This was reported to UDIB.

In off-season conditions, workers traditionally use cast asphalt technology, which can effectively eliminate defects on roads even at low temperatures. This is an important step to ensure traffic safety on high-traffic highways and public transport routes.

Since the beginning of the year, potholes have already been fixed in 103 areas. Thanks to the intensification of work, contractors can now restore about 150 square meters of road surface per shift, which significantly exceeds the previous figures of 90-100 “squares”.

Tonight road workers were actively working in the following areas:

  • prospectus named after the newspaper “Krasnoyarsk Worker”;
  • Miners Street;
  • intersection of Academician Kirenskogo and Novosibirskaya streets;
  • Nikolaevsky Bridge towards the right bank;
  • exits from the Nikolaevsky Bridge;
  • Michurina street.

“We continue to do everything possible to improve the condition of the road network in Krasnoyarsk and ensure comfort and safety for all road users. It is worth noting that residents’ requests from social networks are also included in the work plan,” added the UDIB.

It is important to add that the time to eliminate road defects in Krasnoyarsk is strictly limited: with the onset of heat, when night temperatures rise above zero, working with cast asphalt will become impossible.

Full road repairs begin only in May, when the average daily temperature is at least +5°C.
