LIVE Romania U18 begins the road to EURO 2027 » Debut against Andorra for Ion Marin's “tricolors”

The Romania U18 national team debuts today, from 14:00, in the preliminaries for the European U19 Championship 2027, in a duel against the Andorra U18 team. The match is played in Clinceni and will be able to be watched in liveTEXT format on GSP.ro, but also on the FRF.tv platform.
This season's tournament (March 25-31) is the first step in a new format introduced by UEFA, which includes three preliminary rounds until the teams qualified for the final tournament in 2027, hosted by the Czech Republic.
A new qualification system
Starting in 2026, UEFA has changed the qualification structure for EURO U19. Thus, the teams will go through:
Romania U18 was assigned to group B1, along with Denmark, Andorra and Liechtenstein. The winner of the group will advance to League A, essential for the route to qualification.
The team led by Marin Ion comes after a consistent series of friendly matches at the end of 2025, in which the young tricolors had one defeat and two draws: 2-3 with Spain, 1-1 with Portugal and 0-0 with Turkey.
