Actor Yevgeny Mironov underwent spinal surgery.
According to Mash, in the middle of summer the artist was admitted to neurosurgery and complained of neck pain that radiated to his left arm. Doctors determined that he had intervertebral stenosis, cervical dysfunction and a herniated disc. An operation was performed: the affected areas were removed and an implant was installed. Mironov spent two weeks in the hospital.
The 57-year-old actor is currently undergoing rehabilitation. He was banned from vertical exercise for two months and was prescribed daily training to strengthen his muscle corset.
Last year, at the Golden Eagle ceremony, Mironov said that his illness was a punishment from above for his role as a bishop in the film The Heart of Parma. Problems with his spine and numbness in his arm began after he caught a cold on his back on the train. Evgeny Vitalievich considered this to be retribution for his acting arrogance.
