Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski and director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Maria Telalian, signed an agreement on Monday regarding the financing of the costs of the ODIHR headquarters in Warsaw, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

“Today, an agreement was reached on financing the costs of the headquarters of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in Warsaw – a leading institution dealing with election observation, strengthening democracy and promoting human rights,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a Monday entry on Platform X. It was added that the document was signed by Sikorski and Telalian.
The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), based in Warsaw, was established in 1991 as an institution of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) – the largest regional organization in the world (with 57 member states) dealing with security issues.
ODIHR's activities include monitoring respect for human rights, observing elections, assessing and supporting democratic systems and the rule of law, as well as promoting tolerance and counteracting discrimination. (PAP)
