Experts explain that above-zero temperatures and melting snow actually create favorable conditions for ticks to awaken. However, so far not a single victim has sought medical help. The experience of past years shows that the first suctions can occur at any moment, as soon as the snow melts and stable warmth is established.
Residents of the region are advised to prepare in advance: check the expiration date of repellents, remember when they were vaccinated against encephalitis, prepare a wardrobe for walks in nature and brush up on the rules of protection against ticks. It is also worth finding out in advance the addresses of tick collection points for analysis.
It was previously reported that due to the snowy winter, an infestation of ticks was expected.
