Germany is strengthening its naval presence in the North Atlantic. Response to Russia's military activities

Germany is strengthening its naval presence in the North Atlantic to support its allies, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on Tuesday on the sidelines of his visit to Singapore, reports DPA, quoted by Agerpres.
After Britain sent the destroyer HMS Dragon to the Mediterranean, the German frigate Sachsen will be deployed as the flagship of NATO's standing task force, Pistorius added.
The German official said he had discussed the matter with his British counterpart, John Healey.
In addition, the German Navy will send another frigate, the Brandenburg, to the North Atlantic in response to Russia's military activities in the region, although no official details have been provided.
Britain deployed HMS Dragon to the eastern Mediterranean as a result of the situation caused by the Israeli-American war against Iran.
Following a drone attack on a British base in Cyprus, Britain and France have strengthened their presence in the region.
