Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said on Tuesday evening, in an interview with Antena 3 CNN, that he does not use the resignation “as a form of pressure” on the partners in the ruling coalition.

“Mr. Premier, do you have a written and prepared resignation or use as a form of pressure in the coalition negotiations?”, Was the question asked by the head of the Government by a post journalist, after, in the first instance, a similar question addressed by the moderator Mihai Gâdea, Bolojan had not a clear answer.

“I do not use the resignation as a form of pressure. I have never done this, but at the moment-I told you before-you occupy a public function and you know what the plan you have to end, based on which you have accepted this function, it is a proof of responsibility to insist on doing things properly, because otherwise we do not, Difficulties that I presented and are known, in the situation “in which I was before,” said Ilie Bolojan.

Questioned if he is not afraid that if he uses this threat with repeated resignation, when he will even resign he will not be believed by anyone, the prime minister said: “This resignation has not been used repeatedly, I emphasize. Otherwise ”.

“I am a man who I am responsible for the position I occupy and I find an act of responsibility to take on a project, if you can take it,” said Bolojan.

“You cannot do reforms by constantly looking at the polls, thinking that you are doing image actions. You do not solve the reforms, nor the image,” he said, during the interview.

“No party when it is put in the situation of adopting such measures has no way to be satisfied, at least until the moment these parties have proven that they have understood in what situation Romania is and we should not hide, Romania has reached this situation and what we have done in recent years. In which you cannot do the right thing and you see that things do not go well I think to publicly assume this situation is an act of responsibility and normality, ”said the head of the Government.
