Energy workers have begun a large-scale program to update heating networks in Krasnoyarsk

The season for repairs of heat and power infrastructure has started in Krasnoyarsk. This year, specialists from the Siberian Generating Company intend to update 33 km of communications. The work will cover 92 sites in different areas of the city.

The longest facility of the program is in the area of ​​Komsomolsky Avenue, 5a and Urvantseva Street, 14. More than 1,500 meters of pipelines will be replaced here, the service life of which has currently been 36 years. In addition to the pipes themselves, trays and two thermal chambers are subject to renewal. Preparatory work has already begun, but areas near school No. 14 that cross students’ walking routes will only be opened in the summer.

Another large project is being implemented in the area of ​​Michurina and Pavlova streets, where 1,114 meters of the highway will be rebuilt. The network supplies school No. 90 and hospital No. 7 with resources. Considering the 40-year age of engineering systems, equipment replacement is extremely important for the stability of heat supply to social institutions. The energy sector plans to complete the technological cycle at this facility in May.

Reconstruction of the heating main has also begun along Matrosova Street in the area of ​​houses No. 30/4, 30/6 and 30/7. Due to the active development of the microdistrict, SGK is expanding the capacity of the lines. This will ensure high-quality heat supply parameters for new residential complexes for the long term.

In cooperation with the administration of Krasnoyarsk, SGK comes to replace pipelines in those areas where road repairs or comprehensive landscaping are planned. SGK has been updating the infrastructure of the central part of the city for several years, planning the work in stages, taking into account traffic flow. This year, on the section of the road between Uritskoye and Mira, 135 meters of the heating network will be repaired in two stages. Already at the end of May, energy workers will hand over the site for improvement to municipal services.

At the moment, repairs have been carried out at eleven sites, and the same number of sites are being prepared for the start of events. All work areas are fenced and equipped with information boards indicating schedules and contacts of responsible persons. To ensure that citizens do not experience discomfort, power engineers are installing temporary overhead pipelines. This scheme allows for the uninterrupted supply of hot water and heating for the entire period of repair work, after which the temporary structures are dismantled.

SGK began a large-scale upgrade of the Krasnoyarsk heat supply system in 2020. During this time, more than 300 km of communications were repaired, modernized and built, 18 central heating points and 11 booster pumping stations were built to deliver coolant with the required parameters. The construction of new networks and pumping stations made it possible to close 37 inefficient boiler houses as part of the federal Clean Air project. And the overall wear rate of the system was reduced from 70% to 45%. 632 new facilities were connected to heat, including 38 social institutions and 60 private sector residential buildings. The volume of connected load increased by 40% compared to pre-crisis 2019.

This year, the emphasis is on intra-block heating mains, so there are more work areas, they are moving into courtyards and, possibly, will cross the passages familiar to residents and disrupt the integrity of parking lots.
