After Angela Similea publicly accused that one of her pieces was used for a campaign, the artist backs down: “I hope this post will be the last one related to this topic”

The famous singer returns to the accusations that she did not give her consent for the song “Casa mea” to be used in the information campaign initiated by Distrigaz Sud Networks and the Department of Emergency Situations (DSU). The company had stated that it was using the song legally.

“When, by omission, you are 'bypassed' by important information that directly targets you, being faced with a fait accompli, I think it is absolutely human not only to have a position, but also to ask questions. I find myself in this position, unprecedented for me, now, years after I retired from public life. I don't approve of polemics, being a man who knows how to listen, possibly take a step back if the situation demands it, and to give explanations in public, much less; as you know me, my whole life I have tried to remain discreet”, wrote Angela Similea in a message published on her official Facebook account.

I come back with a few clarifications

It now states that its song is being used legally.

“Now, however, on the occasion of a campaign with such a noble and necessary goal, I see myself in the position of returning to you with explanations, after explanations, an aspect of which, I admit, I am embarrassed. Regarding the reactions that appeared in the chain, following my first post associated with the campaign initiated by Distrigaz Sud Rețele, in the spirit of truth and transparency, I return with a few clarifications. After my first intervention, I was contacted by representatives from the parties involved in this project. The use of the fragment from the song “Casa mea” in the Distrigaz Sud Rețele campaign was carried out in compliance with all legal provisions and all rights arising. All actions were carried out correctly, completely and in compliance with the legal framework.

I hope that this post will be the last related to this topic and, without feeling guilty in any way for taking my position, I declare once again that I remain a supporter of the initiative and the message of the Distrigaz Sud Rețele campaign, dedicated to people's safety, and I wish that they reach as many of you as possible”, Angela Similea sent.
