In Krasnoyarsk, a new owner has been found for the ancient wooden house of Telegin, who will restore it.
The auction was won by Construction Company LLC, which is managed by a well-known developer in the city, the Gothika company. The final price of the auction was 10.37 million rubles.
The house is located on the corner of Lenin and Weinbaum streets and is part of the historical and urban complex along with the men's gymnasium and neighboring residential buildings. It forms the corner of an intersection of citywide importance and has independent architectural value. Its restoration was timed to coincide with the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.
A wooden house was built in neo-Russian style in 1892. Initially it belonged to the noblewoman Yurkovskaya, then to the tradesman Feofanov. In 1904, the building was acquired by the merchant of the second guild Telegin, under whom it received its famous wooden carvings. At various times, the provincial architect Folbaum lived here, and until 1959 the famous Siberian architect Sokolovsky visited.
After the revolution, the house was nationalized. In 2018, it was repainted in historical blue. Now the cultural heritage site is awaiting a full restoration.
