Furor, success and applause
Ukrainian singer Pavel Zibrov admitted on Instagramthat his colleague’s speech brought him to tears.
“Thank you, friend Vitya, for this incredible evening! For the atmosphere that resonated with the heart, for the live performance and that luxurious presidential symphony orchestra – it was truly majestic. Two hours flew by in a flash. And, I admit, I even managed to cry. Thank you for these sincere emotions, for these tears – they took me back to the times when I myself traveled with the orchestra, to my youth, to those special moments that remain forever in my heart,” wrote Zibrov.
“It was so chic,” they shared impressions of the audience.
Ukrainian singer Gelya Zozulya also visited concert of the legendary Pavlik.
Pavlik's wife caused a scandal
After the end of the concert, Pavlik’s husband, Ukrainian blogger and concert director Katerina Repyakhova, came out into the public space with a statement.
On her Instagram Stories page, she accused the concert organizers are biased towards Pavlik. She stated that as soon as Pavlik “relaxed and began to enjoy himself,” the concert “simply stopped.”
“And the absurdity began. They are trying to make him into a person who ‘works poorly,’” she said.
Repyakhova added that her husband had to work in “difficult and unacceptable conditions.”
“Everything should have been completely different. I regret that I trusted these people,” Repyakhova wrote.
She did not say who exactly she was talking about.
Soon after this statement, she made a number of new ones. Not daring to name the person against whom she had complaints, Repyakhova warned that “she will not remain silent.”
“They tried to ‘negotiate’ with me. They came up and asked how this could be hushed up. But they got the wrong person,” she wrote.
According to Repyakhova, after her statements, many Ukrainian artists called her husband.
“They asked for him,” she briefly described the essence of the calls.
“I think it would be right if he himself packs his things and leaves this beautiful Palace, which is not to blame for anything. And if not, all the videos are waiting in the gallery of my phone,” she threatened.
Repyakhova added that her threats concern “not only one person.”
“The whole team also has a responsibility,” she said.
What about Pavlik?
The artist himself does not comment on his wife’s statements. On Instagram on March 23, he posted post in which he thanked the audience who came to his concert.
“Vitya, congratulations! I see so many videos, so many warm words! I regret that I was not at your concert,” she wrote in the comments, the daughter of the third president of Ukraine, Vitalina Yushchenko.
Reaction of the Palace “Ukraine”
The administration of the Ukraina Palace commented on Instagram on March 22 Repyakhova's statements.
“Yesterday an unacceptable situation arose – a conflict with swearing behind the scenes, where the concert producer allowed himself unacceptable behavior towards Repyakhova. We believe that no difficult conditions and circumstances justify such behavior towards a woman. We sincerely apologize to Ekaterina Nikolaevna. Work has already been done, and yesterday a personal apology was sent to Ekaterina Nikolaevna’s messenger from the person who allowed himself unacceptable behavior,” the text says.
The organizers also recalled that the Ukraine Palace initiated and organized Pavlik’s concert.
“For the first time in 10 years, Viktor Frankovich appeared on the main stage of the country with a solo concert. Despite the lack of government funding and the incredible risks associated with holding an event of this level in our difficult times, the Ukraine Palace invested its funds in this concert. And we thank Viktor Frankovich for the incredibly soulful concert that the audience so needs today,” the post stated.

Concert Music Producer Position
Reacted to Repyakhova’s statement The sound producer of the concert, Dmitry Saratsky, is also on Facebook.
“I cannot remain silent about the situation that occurred at Pavlik’s concert on March 21 at the National Palace of Arts “Ukraine”. I had the honor of being the music producer of this concert. For me it was a great responsibility, because the work of Viktor Frankovich is our heritage, our history. There are only a few such artists. He is truly unique. Those who know me, I think, will not say about me as an unprofessional person. For me, the criteria of quality, professionalism and a high standard are are fundamental,” noted Saratsky. “I was among those who decided to take an intermission during the concert to make sure that everything was in order with the state of the artist’s voice.”
He explained that during Pavlik's performance with the team, he heard a “tendency towards vocal fatigue.”
“This is an absolutely normal situation after rehearsals and complex preparations. When it became clear that the condition could worsen, I insisted on a pause: to carry out control, call a phoniatrist and check the condition of the vocal cords. I am convinced that this decision was correct. The artist’s voice is his reputation in front of the audience. We had no right to put Viktor Frankovich at risk,” he added. “That is why the decision was made to have an intermission. And, in my opinion, it was useful for everyone: and for artist, both for the orchestra and for the audience, which after the intermission really lit up with the artists with renewed vigor.”
The producer emphasized that this break should have been foreseen from the beginning.
“This concert was completely organized and produced by the management of the Palace “Ukraine”, its services, as well as a large team of invited professionals, which I joined. The stage, lighting, complex sound system, sound recording, monitoring, selection and adjustment of microphones – we worked on this entire system for a very long time. And all this was done with one goal – for this long-awaited concert to take place at the highest level,” Saratsky noted. “The bar that the Palace “Ukraine” has raised in organizing concerts is today It’s hard to overestimate. In recent years, it has become a place of power for artists and creative groups – both young and already famous and respected.”
As an example, he cited recent concerts of opera singer Lyudmila Monastyrskaya, singer Natalya Mogilevskaya, singer Vitaly Kozlovsky, and a creative evening of poet Yuri Rybchinsky.
“And therefore, to generally accuse professionals who know their business of incompetence is already beyond the bounds. I perfectly understand that for bloggers a scandal is fuel. This is how the information space works. But there must be a limit. If we work for the sake of results and creativity, then this must be stopped and the creativity of Viktor Frankovich allowed to exist without this dirt,” he urged. “If Katerina is not interested in the creative dimension of her husband, then the responsibility for the further development of this situation already lies with her.”
“Where she is, there is always a scandal,” she commented post Saratsky artist Olga Pinskaya.
Context
Repyakhova is Pavlik’s fourth wife. She gained fame during the artist’s scandalous divorce from his third wife, Ukrainian dancer Larisa Sozaeva.
Repyakhova repeatedly had scandals online with Pavlik’s ex-wife, including over real estate that the singer acquired in his third marriage.
In the spring of 2023, Pavlik’s wife boasted of her husband’s special pass while driving across the Kyiv South Bridge to the theater. After criticism, she called Ukrainians evil spirits. Traffic on the South Bridge is permitted only for special vehicles of emergency and emergency services, public transport, transit freight transport, as well as cars with special passes.
After the scandal, Pavlik’s special pass was revoked.
