Pesticides found in teas from major Russian producers
Claims arose against the brands “Richard”, “Greenfield”, “Three Friendly Elephants” and “Roschaiprom”. Rospotrebnadzor demanded that they be withdrawn from circulation: the products are sold in large retail chains.
Companies are tasked with developing an action plan to reduce harm from pesticides in products. The manufacturers themselves declare the purity of their products and demand that the standards be revised.
Pesticides are harmful to humans, the main danger lies in long-term carcinogenic, mutagenic and allergenic consequences. Children, adolescents and the elderly are most sensitive to such substances.
