The attack that took place on Tuesday involved dropping two-ton penetrating bombs on an object near the Iranian coast. As explained by adm. Cooper, the underground complex contained, among others, anti-ship missiles and mobile rocket launchers. Additionally, radar stations and intelligence support facilities that Iran used to monitor ship movements were also destroyed.

— As a result of this operation Iran's ability to threaten freedom of navigation through and around the Strait of Hormuz has been reduced. We will not stop pursuing this goal, the commander emphasized.
The Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant part of the world's oil and gas supplies flow, has remained under pressure from Iranian actions since the beginning of the war – which began on February 28. The blockade of this strategic sea route by Iran has led to a reduction in energy supplies, which in turn has caused a sharp increase in fuel prices around the world.

According to data provided by CENTCOM, since the start of the operation, the American army has carried out attacks on 8,000 people. targets in Iran, including 130 ships.
