Mojtaba Khamenei amassed a huge fortune
As Bloomberg writes, Khamenei oversees a vast global real estate empire that includes luxury homes in one of the wealthiest areas of north London.
“He owns luxury British properties worth over £100 million,” writes Bloomberg. The agency counted over 12 residences belonging to the Iranian.
Khamenei's properties also include those in other countries. This includes: for a villa in Dubai, an apartment in Paris. The Iranian is also a shareholder in two hotels in Germany and a golf course in Majorca.
The American website Weath Advisor estimates the value of the Khamenei family fortune at $100-200 billion. Much of Khamenei's fortune was tied to the Setad organization, officially known as Imam Khomeini's Order Execution. This organization, initially created to manage abandoned properties, has developed over the years into a powerful enterprise.

Critics say Setad systematically seized properties, including those belonging to religious minorities and expatriates that were considered “abandoned.”
As Reuters wrote in materials from an investigation conducted 13 years ago, the organization currently has a court-granted monopoly on seizing property on behalf of the supreme leader and regularly sells seized properties at auctions.
