The Krasnoyarsk Territory celebrated the 12th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia

On March 18, the Crimean Spring festival was held in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, dedicated to the 12th anniversary of reunification Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. Themed concerts, excursions, film screenings and educational events took place throughout the region to further illuminate the significance of the events that took place on the peninsula.

As the regional government said, the central event in Krasnoyarsk was a rally-concert at the Sportex Extreme Sports Center, which brought together more than 1,500 people – representatives of volunteer associations, public and youth organizations, political and public figures, members of the SVO, activists and residents of the region.
Guests could study the folk costumes of the Russian, Dolgan, Chuvash, Tatar, Khakass, Buryat peoples and the Yenisei military Cossacks, sign postcards for soldiers located in the special military operation zone, and also chat in real time with the residents of Crimea: share news, convey greetings and congratulations.
The guests were reminded of the importance of historical memory, and also told about the cooperation of the youth of the two regions in various social areas and about the solution of issues related to interethnic relations in Crimea. Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Natalya Grushevskaya noted that representatives of 175 nationalities now live in Crimea, and they say: “We have a common history, and its bitter lessons help us avoid national enmity.”
Let us remind you that the decision to reunite Crimea with Russia was made in a referendum on March 16, 2014. On March 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leadership of Crimea and the mayor of Sevastopol signed an interstate agreement on the entry of the peninsula into the Russian Federation as a new subject. Since then, this event has been celebrated annually throughout the country.
