This year, in the Oktyabrsky district of Krasnoyarsk, the square in front of the Cultural Center on Vysotnaya will be landscaped. It will become greener, more comfortable and modern, while maintaining its memorial value, the administration promised.

The concept for renovating public space was developed based on the opinions of citizens and urban experts. The process was supervised by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “City Institute” on behalf of the regional Ministry of Construction.

According to the renovation project, a special feature will be unusual paving with landscaping elements. In front of the Cultural Center there will be a large front square lined with paving slabs. Along the perimeter there will be cozy seating areas, which will be framed with flower beds. height 0.6 mWith flowers and perennial plants. Benches, outdoor chairs, tables made of concrete and wood, as well as trash cans will be installed throughout the area. The spaces will be equipped with canopies to protect people from the sun and rain, and there will also be swings with canopies.

In addition, a variety of trees and shrubs will be planted, thereby creating a so-called “green shield” that will help protect vacationers in “quiet zones” from noise from Svobodny Avenue. The square will also be equipped with a modern lighting system.

“As the ideological inspirer of the square renovation project, I am very happy about its upcoming transformation. Finally, GorDK will become a green oasis of culture in the Oktyabrsky district. The square is awaiting changes, from paving stones in the form of piano keys to a modern indoor stage for official events and performances of the best Krasnoyarsk groups,” said Lada Bogryatsova, director of the Cultural Center on Vysotnaya.

The improvement should begin after May 9, the work will be carried out within the framework of the federal program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
