Stand-up comedian Dima Gavrilov was detained and imprisoned for 13 days in Nizhny Novgorod. Reason: “Russophobic” jokes at concerts in Tbilisi + in the latest solo album “Standapocalypse”.
The stand-up comedian was detained on September 8 before a performance at the DKRT concert venue. The trial has already passed, Gavrilov was given 13 days under the administrative clause of “inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity.” Reason: Russophobic jokes during his speeches in Georgia, ridiculing Russian officers, Russians, etc.
Gavrilov's upcoming concerts in Samara, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Volgograd, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don have been cancelled. Most likely forever.
