Pressures regarding participation in the General Assembly of the FRF
Wednesday's elections are of particular importance, especially the president who will lead the Romanian Football Federation for the next 4 years will be elected. With this in mind, people from the leadership of the forum would have put pressure on several clubs to present themselves in Bucharest on the day of the elections.
According to Gazeta Sporturilur information, at least 3 teams were notified that if they do not show up, they “will not be forgotten”. In reality, the number would be higher, as demonstrated by the very large attendance in the hall at the Football House. At the General Assembly there are 263 affiliated members present out of 275.
Radu Vișan and Gabriel Bodescu, important people from the FRF management, would be the ones who put these pressures on the affiliated clubs.

There are two candidates in the race for the post of president: the current boss, Răzvan Burleanu, who is the favorite to win the fourth term, and Ilie Drăgan, the founder and president of the 3 Kids Sport club
-
The latter appealed to the CAS, to reject Burleanu's candidacy and suspend the elections, accusing him of violating the regulation that provides for only three mandates
-
TAS initially rejected his claim, and the elections will take place as originally set, with their result subsequently analyzed in Laussane;
-
Also on Wednesday there will be elections for other key positions in the FRF
I am running not only because the statute allows me, because the mandate limit, which we established together, applies only for the future. Be it between us, we are the only national sports structure with a term limit, but because I enjoy your trust and because I like to win together.
More than 80% of you have sent me letters of support and I'm glad. I want that, together with my colleagues, we continue to grow in the years to come.
