Russian village covered in soot after heating turned on
Streets, houses and cars in the seaside village of Danube were covered with coal-black particles.
Residents had to wash soot from windows, window sills and clothes. The reason was a malfunction in the local boiler house.
The administration assured that the problem had already been fixed, and the soot was washed away by the rain. Local authorities also promised to build a new gas boiler house, but only in 2026.
