Model subjects in History for the BAC 2026 Simulation

The simulation of the 2026 Baccalaureate exam begins on Monday, March 23, with the Romanian Language and Literature test, followed by the mandatory profile test, in which students from the humanities take History, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24. The Ministry of Education has published models of subjects in History, on the platform dedicated to subjects and scales, to familiarize students with the structure of the exam.

The History subject templates for the BAC 2026 simulation have been developed by the National Center for Curriculum and Assessment and follow the official exam structure. These include requirements that test both knowledge of history and the ability to analyze, argue and use historical sources.

The subjects are structured in three parts:

  • Topic I – requirements based on historical sources
  • Subject II – text analysis and reasoned answers
  • Subject III – historical essay.

All requirements must be solved and the working time is three hours. Students receive 10 points automatically. The grades obtained are not publicly displayed and can only be entered in the catalog at the request of the student or the parent.
