An intellectual thief decided to read a book during a robbery, but got too carried away and was caught by the owner of the apartment: now the author of the book is trying to meet him
The 38-year-old robber climbed into a Roman apartment and had already packed the owner’s things into a bag, but then Giovanni Nucci’s book “Gods at Six: The Iliad at the Hour of the Aperitif” caught his eye.
The work attracted the burglar so much that he did not notice how the 71-year-old owner of the apartment woke up and called the police. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and arrested the thief.
The author of the book learned about what happened and wanted to meet with the criminal. He is worried that the man never finished reading the manuscript. Ironically, it turned out that Nucci lives 300 meters from the robbery site.
