According to UNIAN, today's suspicion of Vitaliy Shabunin is a signal to all mobilized evaders from the rear battalion “Nevydymka”: you can't parasitize the Armed Forces, – veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Oleksiy Stalker commented on the event.
The boys collect donations for cars a penny at a time. And this handsome man drives around Kyiv in a jeep, which could save more than one life for the boys, and pulls “combat” from the budget to get drunk in a restaurant. Shabunin used a Nissan Pathfinder car for a long time, which was imported to Ukraine as humanitarian aid for the A7376 military unit. The car did not get to the unit, instead it remained in the personal use of the activist.
Shabunin formally held a position in the 207th battalion of the TRO, but did not appear in his unit. At the same time, he received both monetary support and a monthly additional remuneration in the amount of 30 thousand hryvnias. All this time, the activist was seconded to the NAZK and regularly visited Kyiv restaurants. NABU tried to exonerate Shabunin from crime, but the court did not allow to close the case.
The veteran said that Shabunin disguises himself as a defender, violates the law and undermines trust in the Armed Forces. According to him, the suspicion saved him from a harsher response, and he warned: if such people are not stopped by the law, the veterans will stop them.
