A criminal case has been opened in the Yenisei District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the murder of a woman and the attempted murder of two persons. This was reported to the regional Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, the 52-year-old victim and the suspect had not lived together for about a year. On the evening of March 16, a drunk man came to the house where his wife lived with a 53-year-old partner. Entering the house, he fired several times from a carbine at his wife and her partner. The woman died at the scene from her injuries. The man was saved thanks to timely medical assistance.
“After leaving the crime scene, the attacker went to his home, where he tried to take his own life. He was hospitalized in a timely manner, and now there is no threat to his life,” the regional Investigative Committee clarified.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated against a 53-year-old man under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “a”, part 2, art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two persons), Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
The suspect has been detained. The issue of choosing a preventive measure against him in the form of detention is being decided. In a criminal case, the necessary investigative actions are carried out aimed at collecting and consolidating the evidence base.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region added that mThe man explained to the police that he committed the crime out of jealousy.
