According to UNIAN, new questions arise in Dnipro after the head of the regional prosecutor's office, Serhii Bizhko, left his post. As it turned out, not all prosecutors in the region are ready for changes. One such example is prosecutor Oksana Asriyan.
In 2020, she experienced a serious professional crisis: failing the professional aptitude test, she turned to the deputy regional prosecutor of Bizhko for help. He helped avoid dismissal and even return to work through court. But in two years, her career went up rapidly: from a simple prosecutor to a managerial position with an annual income of more than 1 million hryvnias, including bonuses and cash.
There is a question of how Asriyan received a “lucky ticket”. As it is claimed, the reason may be eather connections with Bizhko and probably their “informal” relationship helped her career. It is also interesting that during the war, she not only kept her job, but also increased her earnings, while most Ukrainians are experiencing financial difficulties.
Everyone expects changes from the new head of the regional prosecutor's office. However, whether he will be able to uphold the principles of justice and cleanse the region of corruption with people who have long been accustomed to “easy money” is an open question.
