US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that “many countries” would send warships to join the US in securing the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by Iran. He expressed hope that China, France, Japan, South Korea and Great Britain would also send ships to the region.

“Many countries, especially those affected by Iran's attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz, will send warships, along with the United States, to ensure the strait remains open and safe,” Trump announced on his Truth Social website.
“We have already destroyed 100 percent of Iran's military capabilities, but (the Iranians) can easily send a drone or two, plant a mine, or fire a short-range missile somewhere along or within this waterway, no matter how defeated they are,” he continued.
He expressed hope that China, France, Japan, South Korea, Great Britain and other countries “affected by this artificial obstacle” would send ships to the regionso that “the Strait of Hormuz no longer poses a threat from a country that has been completely decimated.”
“At that time, the United States they will bombard the coast like hell and constantly fire at Iranian boats and ships. Either way, soon the Strait of Hormuz will be OPEN, SAFE and FREE!” – assured the president, referring to this key transport route for crude oil and natural gas, closed by Iran in response to the American-Israeli attacks. As a result, oil prices on stock exchanges increased significantly.
The US authorities announced that The U.S. Navy will escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz when possible. US Energy Minister Chris Wright did not rule out on Thursday that this would happen before the end of March. He announced cooperation with other countries to open the strait.
In another Saturday entry, Trump referred to American media reports, including: the Wall Street Journal about American air tankers.
On Friday, the daily wrote that five such American planes were damaged during an Iranian missile attack on an air base in Saudi Arabia in recent days. The tankers were not completely destroyed and are undergoing repairs, said one of the authorities, quoted by the daily.
Trump criticized the media, accusing them of “intentionally” reporting “misleading” information. He accused the WSJ and New York Times and other American media, which he described as “degenerate”, of wanting the US to lose the war. “These are truly sick and insane people who do not realize the damage they are causing to the United States of America,” he thundered.
The president said that four of the five planes had “virtually no damage” and had already returned to service. One was damaged to a slightly greater extent, but will soon return to its duties, he assured.
“The fake news media hates to report how well the US military is dealing with Iran, which is completely defeated and wants an agreement, but not an agreement that I would accept!” – the president stated in another entry.
Fuel prices can go crazy. The US bombed the island of Khark
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that US forces carried out “one of the most powerful bombings in the history of the Middle East”, destroying “all military targets” on Iran's Khark island in the Persian Gulf. It is Iran's oil export hub.
