Lukashenko supported the arrest of Durov by the French authorities
We saw it yesterday in France, it was better. And I don't blame them. They are doing the right thing. The Durovs are not the Durovs… If you’re guilty, go and answer. But why make claims against us when we begin to defend ourselves using the same methods as they do?
Lukashenko also recalled the actions of the French authorities during the yellow vest protests in 2018. According to him, then the French President justified police violence by the presence of democracy in the country, criticizing Lukashenko for a “dictatorship.”
