Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video from a pastry shop near Jerusalem on Sunday, ridiculing rumors spread by Iranian state media that he was dead or injured.

In the recording posted on the prime minister's account on the X platform, a smiling Netanyahu orders a coffee with milk and responds to his adviser's comment: “Online people say that you are dead.”

“I would give my life for coffee, just as I would give my life for my nation,” Netanyahu replied.

“Do you want to count how many fingers I have?” – he added, showing both hands one by one and referring to speculations related to the recording of his television appearance posted on X on Thursday. Some users claimed to see six fingers, suggesting that the footage was generated by artificial intelligence.

The Prime Minister also addressed the inhabitants of Israel, which is under shelling by Iran in retaliation for the war started by Washington and Israel against this country.

“Be vigilant and follow the instructions of the Civil Defense. We will do everything in our power to make your lives as easy as possible,” Netanyahu said.

In conclusion, he added that Israeli forces continue to attack Iran and Lebanese Hezbollah. The latter dragged Lebanon into war with Israel on March 2, when a pro-Iranian group began shelling Israel in retaliation for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a US-Israeli strike on the first day of the war.

Since the beginning of the war in the Middle East on February 28, the head of the Israeli government has visited at least several locations attacked by Tehran: a hospital, a port and military bases, Reuters reported on Sunday. However, media access to these places was very limited or even impossible, she added. (PAP)
