In Krasnoyarsk, a young man appeared in court for stealing household appliances from a rented apartment. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
In September last year, a man contacted the police department and reported that the tenant had stolen household appliances worth almost 250 thousand rubles from his apartment and stopped communicating.
“Within a week, he sold two televisions, a refrigerator, a washing machine and a retro player to strangers, receiving 85 thousand rubles,” law enforcement officials said.
A criminal case was opened against the young man under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.
The Central District Court found the guy guilty and sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months of suspended imprisonment with compensation to the victim for the damage caused in the amount of 223 thousand rubles.
The verdict came into force.
