March 14, 1926

On this day, Kovylina Evdokia Arsentievna, teacher, was born.

In 1947, Evdokia Arsentievna graduated from the Birobidzhan Pedagogical School and was assigned to school No. 8 in the city of Birobidzhan. There were 54 students in the class where she was to work. There were 3-4 people sitting at a desk.

Later she worked as a teacher at school No. 6. In 1963, a new school No. 7 was opened in the village of Zarechye, where an experienced primary school teacher E.A. was invited. Kovylin. Here she not only taught children, but also actively worked in the methodological association of primary school teachers, where masters of pedagogical work passed on their experience to young colleagues.

The congress of collective farmers-shock workers of the Stalin district (now Oktyabrsky district) opened. A total of 70 delegates attended the congress.

“The congress sent a welcoming telegram to the secretary of the organizing bureau of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, Comrade Khavkin, and the chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Comrade Liberberg. With great attention, the congress heard the report of the secretary of the district party committee, Comrade G. Sachs, on the approximate charter of the agricultural artel. The leading schools of the region – Amurzet Jewish and Blessed Korean – reported to the congress of notable people of the region.”

“At the congress, delegates were elected to the regional congress, which will be held in Birobidzhan on March 23: “The collective farm “Red October” elected its best people as delegates to the regional congress of collective farmers-shock workers – tractor driver I. Nekhzer, milkmaid P. Lerman, collective farmers M. Gonta and A. Berkovich. The collective farm “Leninfeld” sends tractor driver Rieder, groom Grinshpan, and the oldest collective farmer Weizmann to the regional congress of collective farmers-shock workers.”

Also, on March 14, 1935, on the opening day of the regional congress of collective farmers-shock workers, the first issue of the newspaper “Stalin's Way” (12+) (since 1980 “October Dawns”) was published in Amurzet – the organ of the Stalinist district committee of the CPSU (b) and the district executive committee. The first issue of the newspaper opens with an article by the secretary of the district committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, Comrade. Sachs.

The second page of the newspaper is devoted to the issue of class vigilance and the protection of socialist property. Then the newspaper introduces collective farmers to the victory of building the best metro in Moscow. Provides brief updates on the international situation.

In the first issue of the newspaper “Stalin's Way” there is not a single line in Hebrew.

“The district newspaper must become a genuine and collective organizer, propagandist and agitator for Bolshevik collective farms and a prosperous cultural life.”

March 14, 1954

Elections to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR took place. The workers of the region showed high political activity and unanimously cast their votes for the candidates of the bloc of communists and non-party members. Among the elected deputies are communists A.P. Shitikov – first secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU, I.K. Bobyr – locomotive driver at Obluchye station, P.F. Kotov – Chairman of the Khabarovsk Regional Council of Workers' Deputies, R.G. Freidkina – agronomist of the collective farm “33rd Anniversary of October” in the Birobidzhan region, non-party O.F. Kulagina is a milkmaid at the Far Eastern Collective Farm Farm in Smidovichi District.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) wrote on this day that at the session of the Khingan village Council of People's Deputies, the chairman of the regional executive committee S.T. Duvakin presented the Council with the challenge Red Banner of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR and the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions.

“The Khingan Council was awarded this high honor for the successes achieved in the All-Russian Socialist Competition.”

The same newspaper wrote that a regional gathering of innovators and inventors had taken place, dedicated to the results of the work of creative teams in the third year of the five-year plan and the tasks facing production innovators. The winner in the socialist competition among teams, UNR-254, was awarded a diploma and a cash prize. The teams of a number of enterprises and fifteen of the best production innovators were awarded certificates of honor.
