In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the US “completely destroy the terrorist regime of Iran”.

“The Iranian navy is gone, the air force is gone, the missiles, drones and everything else are destroyed, and their leaders have been wiped off the face of the earth. We have unmatched firepower, unlimited ammunition and plenty of time.” wrote Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social.

“Watch what's happening today with these crazy bastards. They've been killing innocent people around the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What an honor to do that!” Trump added.

President Trump has announced Mojtaba Khamenei, the new supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is most likely still alive but “disabled” as a result of the attacks launched by US and Israeli troops that killed his father, the former supreme leader, in the early days of the war.

Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, in his first comments on Thursday, vowed to keep the key energy crossing point of the Strait of Hormuz blocked and called on neighboring countries to close US bases on their soil or risk being attacked by Iran.

The secret service of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) warned the population not to take to the streets to protest.

State-run IRIB News broadcast a statement threatening would-be demonstrators with an even bloodier crackdown than the protests in late December and early January, in which more than 7,000 people were reportedly killed, according to the US-based non-governmental organization Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA).
