Corporate University for Educational Development of the Moscow Region (KURO) implemented recruiting automation platform “Union” (vendor NOTA, IT holding T1). The project is aimed at creating a centralized system for selecting teachers for schools in the Moscow region.

In 2023, the Corporate University for Educational Development of the Moscow Region (KURO) took upon itself the centralization of the selection of teaching staff for the region. At the start of the activity, the processes were ineffective: All reporting was done in Excel and hiring was scattered.

The 56 districts and 900 schools operating separately did not have a centralized platform to track staffing needs and when vacancies were filled, making it difficult to analyze and forecast school needs. The process of implementing the new platform began in December of the same year and took seven months to complete the transition.

Thanks to cooperation with Union, in a year and a half of work, only 10 recruiters of the Corporate University for Educational Development manage a database of more than 30,000 candidates and successfully fill more than 3,000 vacancies annually. The bulk of teacher vacancies are filled during the summer, requiring a high hiring rate.

“Our goal is to help KURO create more transparent and effective selection systems. Automation of recruiting allows schools to focus on their main task – training future specialists, providing them with highly qualified teachers. As part of our cooperation with KURO, we have achieved significant results: processes that previously required manual data processing have been automated. For example, preparation reporting now takes just a few minutesO minutes“, noted Maxim Kornienko, commercial director of the Union recruiting automation system.

“With the help of analytics provided by Union, we were able to assess the quality of selection and identify bottlenecks in the recruiting process. Another important step in improving the quality of work was the built-in system training for directors of educational institutions on the skills of selection and adaptation of personnel. All these efforts allowed us to increase the conversion of candidates and fill vacancies in a timely manner, which significantly improved the staffing situation in schools in the region,” comments Olga Nikolskaya, Vice-Rector of the State Autonomous Educational Institution of Further Professional Education of the Moscow Region “Corporate University for Educational Development” (KURO).

The project also developed a reporting system in the form of heat maps, which allows real-time monitoring of the status of school staffing with teachers. This makes it possible to quickly respond to changing needs and optimize recruiting processes.
