The only reaction of the Negoiță family to the investigation about the 2.8 million euro properties in Italy

The mayor of Sector 3, Robert Negoiță, did not answer the questions sent by the reporters of Snoop and Public Record, who published the material. He answered his brother, the businessman Ionuț Negoiță, who declared that he and his parents are partners in companies “where there are tens of millions of profits”

In June 2024 and January 2025, pensioners Ilie and Lidia Negoiță, parents of mayor Robert Negoiță, purchased two properties in Civitavecchia, a city located one hour from Rome, on the Mediterranean coast.

Negoiță's parents paid 2.8 million euros for the two properties. Ionuț Negoiță, the brother of the mayor of Sector 3, confirmed the amounts in a discussion with journalists.

He was the only family member who answered the questions.

Contacted by the editors of Public Record and Snoop, Robert Negoiță did not answer the calls. Initially, his phone also answered with the robot from Italy. He didn't answer the messages either.

The mayor of District 3 is under investigation in the case of roads built over gas pipelines, opened after a Recorder investigation.

“I've been to Italy 10-15 times”

Ionuț Negoiță confirmed the amounts and stated that he had been to Italy 10-15 times. Asked if the mayor of Sector 3 accompanied him, Ionuț Negoiță said: “Probably, I don't remember, but probably. Once, twice.”

He also answered with “probably” the question regarding the visit of the Italians and their accommodation at his family's hotel.

“Come in and see that I, along with my parents, are shareholders in RIN Grand Estate, in RIN Resort & Spa, where there are tens of millions of profits,” he argued about the origin of the money.

Asked about the legal problems of the companies in which his parents appear, including the criminal case from the Bucharest Court, where he and four other companies are accused, Negoiță said that it is about “a fact of this, which you are still crocheting. Which in court are kind of dismantled”.
