This year, the Krasnoyarsk Territory hosts the finals of the International Olympiad on Financial Security for the second time and holds a thematic session at the All-Russian Youth Forum TIM “Biryusa”. The regional Ministry of Finance spoke about this.
The preparation of events and new initiatives, as well as the results of the past year, were discussed at a meeting of the relevant interdepartmental commission chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bakhar. In 2025, the region hosted almost 11 thousand events, in which about 700 thousand people took part. Particular attention was paid to schoolchildren, students, youth, special operation participants and members of their families, people with disabilities, as well as the adult population. The main topics covered personal financial planning, long-term savings programs, financial security and the ability to resist fraud.
New creative projects have been launched in Krasnoyarsk: illustrated rules on electric buses “No way with scammers”, stickers on coffee cups “Coffee with the taste of cyber literacy”, TV program “Financial Compass” and others. An electronic social code has been created with measures to support the population, and initiative projects of residents of the region have received recognition at the federal level.
“The past year has become a landmark year for the Krasnoyarsk Territory. We received the status of the Capital of Financial Culture, as well as good experience in organizing events on a national and international scale. New projects are being created in the region that cover all age and social groups, uniting participants in financial education at all levels,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bakhar.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory has already begun to develop projects that require the support of the Federation, including competitions and the establishment of special thematic nominations. The priority is the implementation of corporate programs in the workplace. The program “Financial Literacy in Work Collectives” prepared at the federal level will be of help here. The Regional Center for Financial Literacy, together with the administration of the Federal Assay Office for the Siberian Federal District, is introducing approaches to the formation of financial culture through philately (postage stamps), numismatics (coins) and philocarty (postcards).
Active participants in financial education are members of the Youth Government of the Understudies. Last year, the guys held more than 200 events, in which over 5.5 thousand people took part. This year, in addition to traditional lessons on financial literacy, young people are creating projects through the prism of contemporary art, as well as through iconic places of the region related to finance. New formats are planned for the thematic session at TIM “Biryusa”, which will take place from July 2 to July 6, 2026.
A competition is being prepared for the territories of the region for the best municipal formation and the creation of the first catalog of municipal practices in the field of financial culture.
