Minister Domański reacts to the president's decision on SAFE. “This is not an ordinary veto”


President Karol Nawrocki decided to veto the act on the SAFE fund. He announced his decision in his evening address to the nation. “The SAFE mechanism is a huge foreign loan taken out for 45 years in a foreign currency, the interest cost of which may amount to up to PLN 180 billion,” Nawrocki criticized the program.

Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański commented on the president's veto in strong words. According to him, this is “not an ordinary veto”, but “a veto against Polish security.”

Domański also criticized the president's alternative proposal, the so-called Polish SAFE 0 percent “Fairy tales about a hastily invented “Polish SAFE” that finances nothing” — he wrote.
