Ilie Bolojan, after the RCC has twice postponed the pronouncement on the reform of the special pensions: “It is a necessity”

“It is a necessity and I hope that at the next meeting of the Constitutional Court, this topic will be closed,” said Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on Thursday, in his first reaction in which he commented directly that the judges from the RCC have postponed, twice, a ruling on the Government's project on the modification of the magistrate system. “I could not continue that way, they will have to reduce them,” added the prime minister, referring to special pensions, but he avoided criticizing the yard.
Asked about the pensions of the magistrates and the decision postponed by the RCC in this regard, in an interview on B1 TV, the head of the Government stated: “Here are three aspects that I could score. Indeed, resolving the pensions of the magistrates, so an obligation that Romania has been Jalons, which each has 200-300 million euros.
“In fact, the two basic issues that we will never be able to bypass are the aspects related to social supportability and sustainability of these systems. And we have to talk openly. People do not support – it is not that a political man or another – they do not simply have special categories, that they are magistrates or they are not a magistrate, which are not a magistrate, which are not a magistrate, which are the last one, which are the last one, who are Social injustice and anyway we take it, there is no support for such a situation and it is an abnormal thing, from all points of view, because there are nowhere in Europe, ”said Bolojan.
According to the prime minister, the second aspect is “economic sustainability”.
“We do not have to hide, think that this early retirement, of many categories, not only the judges are in this situation, makes to have people who are in full powers, with a great professional experience, who are not valued between 50 and 65 years. Anticipated, some are abroad. He came out at 50, he receives a pension for up to 75-77 years, as long as the average life in Romania, so 25 years is paid at the value of the last salary.
“It is a necessity and I hope that at the next meeting of the Constitutional Court this subject will be closed. I am glad, if I can say so, that three of the five packages have been declared constitution. You have to reduce them, think about what was happening in the state companies-where, again, we had no performance, we were always stretched to the Government to be granted subsidies and to cover our losses, but we take performance bonuses-this could not continue. Functional, much more efficient and at the end some better services, not with higher costs ”, concluded the head of the Government, avoiding a comment in which to characterize the double decision to postpone the Court.
CCR, two delays
The RCC postponed for October 20 a decision on the law of the Bolojan Government that amends the magistrate's pension system.
For the same date, a decision was postponed to the draft law that includes the new taxes and fiscal measures from the Ministry of Finance.
The decision to postpone on the changes made to the pensions of the magistrates is justified by the fact that the rapporteur judge on this file, the president of CCR Simina Tănăsescu, has not yet submitted the conclusions, and the term to submit them has expired on Monday, according to HotNews sources, who discussed under the condition of confidentiality, due to the subject.
The draft law on corporate governance was declared a constitutional on Wednesday by the RCC, which rejected the gold notifications, can also SOS.
Also, the notifications were rejected for the draft law on health reform. And this law was declared constitutional, so it goes to promulgation to President Nicușor Dan.
In the last two weeks, the CCR gave the green wave to a single project out of the five, the one regarding the changes made to ASF, ANCOM and ANRE. Then, the RCC rejected the notifications made for this law by the opposition, and in the meantime the law entered into force, after being promulgated by President Nicușor Dan. At that time, the CCR first postponed the pronouncement on the magistrate's pensions reform.
On Wednesday night, Prime Minister Bolojan had greeted the CCR decisions by which the two laws were declared constitutional – the one regarding the corporate governance and the one regarding the health reform. But in the reaction of Wednesday, he did not refer to the draft law on the pensions of the magistrates.
On Thursday, in an unprecedented attack, the first vice-president of PNL Ciprian Ciucu accused the RCC of “continuous irresponsibility”, after the Court postponed on Wednesday for the second time the project of the Bolojan Government amending the magistrate's pension system. “I think they are deliberately blocked. Moreover, I think they tend to break these reforms. I also have certain information, to block what they can block, with a lot of irresponsibility,” said Ciucu, at Digi24.
“The CCR cannot govern Romania endlessly. The CCR has to express themselves with courage, because long illness, sure death. I do not agree. It does not suit them, that they are their affected guild? We are all affected. To end with these privileges. Ilie Bolojan brought him in the situation in which he is still a lot of irresponsibility.
