US President Donald Trump told Axios that the war with Iran will end soon because there are “virtually no targets left to attack.” He also emphasized that the conflict would end when he himself wanted it to.

Trump told the website during a five-minute phone call that “the war is going great” and that it will end “soon” because the American armed forces are running out of targets to bomb.
– There's still some of this and that left. (…) The war will end whenever I want, said the president. – The war is going great. We are ahead of schedule. “We did more damage than we thought was possible, even in the original six-week period,” he added.
Trump initially said the war plan was to last four weeks. But then he added that it might last four or five weeks.
On Monday, the president told CBS that the war was “virtually over,” although two hours later he announced in a speech that it would not end until Washington achieved all of its goals and the threat from Iran was eliminated “once and for all.” Trump emphasized that the war would end soon, but also claimed it wouldn't be this week.
In an interview with Axios, Trump argued that Iran wanted to take over the entire Middle East.
– They are paying for the 47 years of death and destruction they have caused. It's revenge. They won't get away with it, he declared.
Axios recalled that Israeli Defense Minister Israel Kac announced that the war would continue “without any time limit, for as long as necessary, until we achieve all the goals and win the campaign decisively.”
