From the third decade of March in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the first wave of flood is expected, which is characterized by active snowmelt in the steppe zone and the opening of small rivers, primarily in the southern and central territories. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke about the features of the process and the procedure for the population during floods.

It is noted that the main danger will be represented by slope runoff, flooding of low-lying areas, overflowing of ponds, storage tanks, erosion of roads, dams, the occurrence of ice and congestion on small rivers with a possible rise in water to critical levels.
The most dangerous in this regard are the territories of Bogotolsky, Emelyanovsky, Ermakovsky, Kozulsky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky, Sharypovsky, Shushensky, Uzhursky districts.
“If you are caught in a flood: turn off the water, gas, electricity; put out the fire in the stoves; move valuables and property to the upper floors (attics) of buildings; close the windows and doors, if necessary, board the windows and doors of the first floors with boards or plywood, rescuers advise. — When receiving a signal to begin evacuation, you must quickly collect and take with you: documents (in sealed packaging), valuables, medicines; a set of clothes and shoes for the season; stock up on food for several days, then proceed to the announced evacuation point to be sent to safe areas.”
