This was announced at a press conference by Mr.Head of the department for organizing the activities of local police commissioners for juvenile affairs of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region Maxim Kovalev.
“The most common are thefts, robberies and thefts. Since the beginning of the year, teenagers have committed about 60 thefts and more than 10 thefts. Recently, telephone fraud has raised concerns; children are increasingly becoming victims of such crimes,” noted Maxim Kovalev.
According to him, the bulk of the crimes of telephone scammers against children are committed using malicious software through the exchange of photos in instant messengers, when they offer to open a link. As a result, funds are written off.
“The second type of crime is when, under the pretext of transferring money to a secure account, minors transfer their parents’ money to scammers. It is important to note that no There are no safe accounts. In this case, it is necessary to immediately stop communication,” the police officer emphasized.
To prevent such crimes, in February, law enforcement officers, together with the regional Ministry of Education, carried out preventive measures among teenagers in all educational institutions of the region.
Besides, often teenagers, Wanting to make quick money, they become participants in illegal schemes. In this regard, the employment of schoolchildren is considered as a measure to prevent crime among them.
“We, together with the Labor and Employment Agency, are working on the issue of involving responsible employers of the region in the process of employing young personnel aged 14 to 18 years, including during the period of free time from school. Negotiations are now actively underway with large retail chains to settle a legal mechanism that would suit not only teenagers and their parents, but also employers,” Maxim Kovalev said.
It is planned that the issue of the legal employment system for minors will be worked out this year. Thus, teenagers in the region will have the opportunity to earn official and legal income.
