Massive prices at the pump in gas stations in Romania / How much fuel ended up costing on Tuesday

Fuel prices rose again on Tuesday morning in gas stations in Romania, by approximately 15 banis for diesel and 10 banis per liter in the case of gasoline, according to the Fuel Price Monitor application, analyzed by HotNews.
The gains came as oil fell sharply on international markets on Tuesday morning after Donald Trump said the war in the Middle East could end soon.
At press time, futures for Europe's benchmark Brent crude were down to around $93/bbl, (down 6%), after falling as much as 11% at one point on Tuesday morning.
How much is gasoline and diesel on Tuesday in Romania?
In the capital's stations, the cheapest range of gasoline costs 8.30 – 8.32 lei at Petrom gas stations and 8.39 lei per liter at OMV.
Premium gasoline is 8.91 lei at Lukoil and Petrom, 9.02 at MOL and 9.12 at OMV gas stations.
Diesel fuel is even more expensive. The standard assortment is sold for 8.75 lei at Petrom and 8.82 lei at OMV. Premium diesel ended up costing between 9.17 lei and 9.39 lei per liter.
Prices vary from one gas station to another, even if they are part of the same chain of companies, depending on the costs of each station.
Oil rose to $117 on Monday, then fell below $100
This is after, on Monday, the price of oil rose above 100 dollars per barrel, even reaching 117 dollars, but it corroborated after Donald Trump's announcement that the war is almost over.
Brent oil, the benchmark for the European market, reached around 94 dollars per barrel on Tuesday morning.
Pump prices typically trail oil prices by 10-20 days, depending on the refining cycle and companies' inventories.
Last week, fuel prices increased three days in a row, by 24 paise for petrol and 33 paise for diesel, in total.
Analysts and authorities have stated that there is a risk that the price of a liter at the pump will reach 10 lei if the war in the Middle East continues.
