FK Sarajevo crushed their rivals Zeljeznicar, as they have never done since the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992, and Adem Ljajic was one of the scorers in this derby. The former Serbian international scored a goal, received a standing ovation, but then made a scandalous gesture.
In the extra time of the first half, the Serbian player managed a goal from a free kick, increasing his team's lead to 3-0.
Immediately after the match, while Sarajevo was celebrating the 4-0 triumph, Ljajic made an obscene gesture, right in front of the section where the fans of the rival team were. Although he received a standing ovation for his performance and goal, Zeljeznicar fans were not at all happy with the player's gesture.

-
Ljajic transferred from Novi Pazar to Sarajevo last summer, signing a two-year contract. He scored three goals and provided an assist in 12 matches, but with the last goal scored in the derby he conquered the club's fans for good.
-
He played for many prestigious teams, such as Inter Milan, Roma or Fiorentina.
-
He played 47 matches for the Serbian national team and scored 9 times.
However, Ljajic's side are far from the title, with Sarajevo only in third place with 26 points, 11 behind Zrinjski and even 14 behind leaders Borac of Banja Luka. With 5 championship titles in their records, FK Sarajevo has not won the championship since the 2019/20 season.
FK Sarajevo is the team that Universitatea Craiova eliminated in the Conference League qualifiers.
